U.S. EPA's Pollution Control System (PCS) is in the process of being modernized as part of the Integrated Compliance Information System (ICIS). As such, this data exchange is being phased out and Network partners should not map to this schema to flow DMR data to U.S. EPA. These links are available for reference purposes only. For information about flowing DMRs to the modernized system, please visit the ICIS-NPDES page.
data exchange description
This data exchange allows network partners to send electronic Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) to U.S. EPA's Pollution Control Systems (PCS) using the Exchange Network. Resources for this data exchange were developed by a team of 9 states including Michigan, Florida, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode island, Texas, and Wisconsin.

The e-DMR data exchange is currently in version 1.2. The following links are to implementation resources for this most recent version.
- XML Schema (v1.2)
- e-DMR Toolsets - The e-DMR Toolset is a tool for programmers to allow them to more easily create or modify e-DMR XML instance files. The tool also includes some features such as XML validation against the e-DMR schema and provides extensibility to work with future versions of the e-DMR schema file.
