data exchange description
This data exchange allows facilities to submit electronic Discharge Monitoring Reports (eDMRs) to states. In addition, network partners can send eDMRs from states to the U.S. EPA's Central Data Exchange. Under the Clean Water Act, facilities with National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits submit periodic discharge monitoring reports (DMRs). Resources for this data exchange were developed by a team of 9 states including Michigan, Florida, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode island, Texas, and Wisconsin. For more information on the development project, visit the Challenge Grant Team Website.
