As a result of the approved TMDL plan for Low Dissolved Oxygen (DO) the Long Prairie River segment 07010108-506 was split into 07010108-534 and 07010108-535. The intent of the split was to differentiate between anthropogenic and natural DO impairment along the former segment (-506). The lower portion (-535) of -506 was considered to be impaired due to both anthropogenic and natural causes while the upstream portion (-534) was considered to be naturally impaired for DO.
