  beach monitoring

Status: In Production

data exchange description

Under the BEACH Act (Beaches Environmental Assessment and Coastal Health Act), grant recipients are required to submit beach monitoring data to U.S. EPA. This data exchange allows for the reporting of beach monitoring, station location, and sample and result data to EPA's the STORET Data Warehouse through the Water Quality Exchange (WQX).

implementation resources

Beach Monitoring data may be submitted using the Water Quality Exchange (WQX). You should begin by ensuring that you are able to generate an XML file from your local water quality data management system that maps to the WQX schema and WQX domain value lists. For assistance with this, please refer to the resources on the WQX page. Partners should also consult the following documentation for more information on submitting Beach Monitoring information using WQX.
