  homeland security data

Status: In Production

data exchange description

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and agencies from the states of Maine, New Hampshire, and New Jersey are engaged in a project to develop a data exchange for homeland security information. The partners designed and implemented a generic homeland security data exchange to allow States to make available their environmental, health, and safety information to national security, law enforcement, and intelligence communities as well as the general public.

implementation resources

As part of the HLS Project, the team developed 3 new XML Schemas. The new schemas were created with the intent of supporting the following identified HLS Data Flows: Environmental Incidents Data, Storage Tanks Data, and Tier II Facility Data. The schemas and their corresponding conformance reports are available in zip files below.

The HLS XML Schemas were designed with the intention of leveraging existing Exchange Network Schema Components and resources wherever possible - this document outlines the HLS Schemas' resused components.

Environmental Incidents Data (v1.0)

Storage Tanks Data (v1.0)

Tier II Facility Data (v1.0)
