Who We Are

The Exchange Network is a partnership first envisioned in 1998.

We are representatives from States, Tribes, Territories and EPA working together to provide better access to high-quality environmental data. Through our primary decision making bodies, the Exchange Network Leadership Council and the Network Operations Board, all Partners share in the management and administration of the Network, basing decisions on collaborative consensus.

As environmental decision makers, we recognize that today’s technology can be used to protect human health and the environment by improving the way we share and use environmental data. As Partners, we have revolutionized the exchange of that information by providing secure, real-time access to those data.

With higher-quality, more accessible data, we’re able to make better, more timely environmental decisions… And better decisions lead to better outcomes.

Together, we’re remaking the way our environmental agencies exchange information – and we’re doing it in a way that benefits both our nation and our environment.
