Publish a Data Exchange

Developers who wish to publish the resources for a new or revised data exchange to the Exchange Network website must prepare a flow documentation package and submit it to the Network Technology Group (NTG) for review. At a minimum, a documentation package should consist of the following required components:

  • XML Schemas
  • Schema Conformance Report
  • Flow Configuration Document
  • Data Exchange Template
  • Example XML Instance Document

Most of the flow documentation package is to assist future implementers of the data exchange. The Schema Conformance Report primarily assists the NTG with creating and maintaining the standards and guidelines underpinning the Exchange Network. Developers should use the following document for preparing the flow documentation package:

  • Exchange Documentation Package Preparation and Review Process for the Exchange Network – This document describes the process for exchange developers to prepare and submit XML schema and exchange documentation for review and acceptance by Exchange Network governance. It also describes the review process and outcomes.

If you have questions on this process, or if you are ready to submit a completed flow documentation package, please contact the co-chairs of the NTG.
